Buoyed by the Presidents Cup and the viewer-loyal "Live From," Golf Channel averaged 155,000 in prime time and 152,000 viewers overall. Thursday and Friday's exclusive Presidents Cup coverage didn't reach the 1 million viewer point, but both appeared to do okay by drawing a .6 (778,000 average viewers Friday, 740k Thursday). Thanks to Son Of The Bronx for posting this and other cable ratings from the week, which are worth a look if you are a baseball fan as he includes MLB Network, currently providing some great playoff coverage but not getting nearly the numbers Golf Channel is drawing.
Hitting a golf ball and putting have nothing in common. They’re two different games. You work all your life to perfect a repeating swing that will get you to the greens, and then you have to try to do something that is totally unrelated. BEN HOGAN
