ANGC Loaning City Money To Move Berckmans Project Along

George Eskola reports on the expected land swap deal between Augusta National and Augusta-Richmond County for land that is currently Berckmans Road to create a better entrance to the Masters.

More fun though was this:

According to the agreement drafted by the club’s attorney, funding for the road work isn't available until 2016, but ANGC wants to start earlier. So, under the agreement, ANGC will loan the city the money to begin contraction after the Masters in 2015.

Commissioners are expected to approve the agreement at their meeting Tuesday.
