When one comes to the quality of the bunkers and other hazards we pass into realm of much dispute and argument. Primarily bunkers should be sand bunkers purely, not composed of gravel, stones or dirt. While it's not one of the classics of architecture, Newport Beach Country Club ably hosts the wildly successful annual Toshiba Classic on the Champions Tour in spite of some wretched Ted Robinson design changes. Which is even more reason to enjoy this time lapse video sent in by reader Mark, because (A) we get to see the undoing of a dreadful Robinson remake of an old William F. Bell (1953) hole and (B) no matter where you live in the world, it's always fun to see the process that goes into re-building a golf hole. In under 2 minutes. Here's a story about the redo.
