Valspar Wrap And Video Of Na's Great Shot, Minus The Routine

It was hard to tell from Sunday's telecast just how strange Kevin Na's antics were since in my viewing from a bar stool minus the announcer audio that it seemed (seemed) NBC intentionally came to him on tape or late in his various pre-shot marathons.

Either way, Valspar probably isn't too pleased that its championship was overshadowed by the pace issue, all because the issue has been chalked up to one that's always been around and always will be. Doug Ferguson avoided it in his Sunday game story, but John Strege addresses the pace topic and why it is important to address.

Gary Williams, Holly Sonders, Charlie Rymer and yours truly also had a pretty spirited chat on Morning Drive Sunday (about a 6 minute clip, the chat starts after the Lou Riccio tape for those in Ponte Vedra who will be transcribed every criticism, playing it backwards, and then picking up the red phone).

As for the golf, longtime readers know I'm not a fan of the last-man to not crash style of golf tournament, so I was pleased with John Senden and to a one-shot-less extent, Na, stepped up with some clutch shots down the stretch. Senden is a big time talent who has shown a propensity to play well on tough setups like Innisbrook's.

And for all of Na's antics, he hit quite nearly the shot of the year on the 17th hole Sunday. He made the birdie putt but was unable to birdie 18 to force a playoff:
