Witchy Woman? Rory Out In 43 After Caroline's Avatar Change

I'm not a big believer in coincidence, so it's hard to fathom how a golfer of Rory McIlroy's immense talent can shoot 43 on a windless, crisp, glorious spring day in Dublin, Ohio. But then there was Caroline's Twitter stirring-the-pot avatar change that could be read any number of ways depending on your views on witchcraft.

**McIlroy ended with a 78 that he said was "not disastrous," reports Rex Hoggard. The injured knee was also addressed.

McIlroy tweaked his knee on the seventh hole on Thursday, when he shot 63, and said he underwent plenty of physical therapy and spent time in a Game Ready machine, which is a compression ice device, after his round.

“The knee is OK,” said McIlroy, who won last week’s BMW PGA Championship on the European Tour despite ending his engagement to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki. “It was a little sore this morning on the range, but out on the course it was fine.”
