I would never pretend to understand the issues driving Scotland's independence vote eight days from now. However when I was there in July and finding the weakness of the dollar to the pound a constant reminder that now is not a great time to take a golf trip to Scotland, the unanswered questions about Scotland's future currency did make me dream about using the Euro in Scotland.
