Race Organizers: No Report Of Tiger's Tooth-Loss Incident

The Associated Press' Andrew Dampf says World Cup race organizers contradicted the account of Tiger Woods and agent Mark Steinberg who suggested the golfing great lost a tooth due to a video cameraman surging toward the stage and knocking out Woods' front tooth.

Dampf also tweeted that he saw nothing and heard of no incident related to Woods (more on that in a second), and shared a detailed account of Tiger's activities during a surprise visit to see Lindsey Vonn break the record for most World Cup wins.

Race organizers said this was not reported to them. They added that Woods did request extra security and a snowmobile to exit the finish area, and organizers met both requests.

"I was among those who escorted him from the tent to the snowmobile and there was no such incident," Nicola Colli, the secretary general of the race organizing committee, told The Associated Press. "When he arrived he asked for more security and we rounded up police to look after both him and Lindsey."

Confirming just how quiet Woods' presence was, Dampf's first game story from Italy Sunday led with an anecdote about Woods watching the race on the Internet back in Florida, while mentioning what a big day this was for Vonn in the winner's circle because she was reunited with her mom and dad.

"It means a lot," Vonn said. "Both my parents haven't been able to come to any World Cups. My mother because she couldn't afford it and my father because we weren't speaking for a long time. And now I feel like everything is great with my family and to have my mom come to her first European World Cup and see my 62nd win is something very special."

Vonn was estranged from her father, Alan Kildow, while she was married to the former skier Thomas Vonn. But father and daughter repaired their relationship after Vonn separated from Thomas three years ago.

"It's nice that I can finally share these experiences with them," Vonn said. "And also have it be historical moments for myself and for the sport. To share that with them is very special."

But Dampf, after learning the identity of the man in the skull mask and claims of a lost tooth in the winner's circle, took to Twitter to hit home the point that Woods could not have had his tooth knocked out in a photographer crush because Woods wasn't in the winner's circle.

Initial Tweet:

And noting that Woods did not take in the awards ceremony where the incident happened.

And noting that Woods had the skull mask on from the time he arrived.

Speaking of skull ski masks, they're way more available than I ever could have imagined considering how ridiculous they look!

For you shoppers at home...

If you want to see Tiger in all of his ridiculous skull mask glory as well as other Armando Trovati images from Lindsey's big day, here are all the key shots posted by the AP.

Meanwhile, there were undoubtedly some who enjoyed seeing Tiger lose a tooth. But I just can't decide who would have enjoyed it most.

Break the four-way tie for me here please.

Who most enjoyed the image of Tiger missing a tooth?
