Koepka Renounces ET Membership, Makes Someone Happy

Brooks Koepka, who worked his way into the World Top 50 and eventually, PGA Tour membership thanks to his play on the European Tour where he was 2014 rookie of the year, has decided to go full time in America.

The decision comes, reports Ryan Lavner at GolfChannel.com, after Koepka withdrew from the event in Turkey, where he was defending champion.

Koepka’s manager with Hambric Sports confirmed Tuesday that the 25-year-old Phoenix Open winner will not play again until the Hero World Challenge in December. Prior to his withdrawal from Turkey, he had played 13 of the past 16 weeks.

While it's a blow for the European Tour to lose Koepka, England's Ben Evans went from missing the Race to Dubai and a 2016 card by a spot to being exempt next year.
