When one comes to the quality of the bunkers and other hazards we pass into realm of much dispute and argument. Primarily bunkers should be sand bunkers purely, not composed of gravel, stones or dirt. This Week Is Ivor Robson's Finale As A First Tee Starter

Oh sure, he'll probably be enlisted to record voice mail messages for charity and whatever else someone lures him into, but the legendary first tee announcer Ivor Robson is calling it a career after this week's European Tour event.

While Dubai isn't quite St. Andrews (where Robson called his final Open Championship last summer), this will be your final chance to hear a grown man sounding like he's been goosed everytime he announces a golfer on the first tee.

From the European Tour's Instagram account:

"On the tee" for the last time. 🎙 The @DPWTC will be Ivor Robson's last event as official starter on The European Tour. Robson has been announcing players onto to the first tee, using his trademark "on the tee" phrase, for more than 40 years. We will all miss Ivor and the "most famous voice in golf."
