When one comes to the quality of the bunkers and other hazards we pass into realm of much dispute and argument. Primarily bunkers should be sand bunkers purely, not composed of gravel, stones or dirt. Handicapping any golf tournament is dangerous business. You don’t know whose neck tightened up from a bad hotel pillow or whose wife yelled at them before they left the rental house.

That said, the Masters has become the easiest tournament to handicap for a few reasons: the course again favoring bombers and putters, and the drumbeat of golf leading into the event that lets us see who is playing well and the patterns which develop from playing the same venue each year.

With those caveats in mind, and the agony of leaving Brandt Snedeker off the list in favor of flu-ridden Henrik Stenson, here is my GolfDigest.com list of the only twelve names (and alternates) to remember for your 2015 Masters pool picks. One of them will win. I guarantee it.
