First Image Of Post-Accident Tiger Appears

Radaronline reports that the National Enquirer has scored the first shots and prints them in this week's issue.

And he's at the Mississippi sex rehab clinic, Gentle Path (another victory for the tabloids).

It's like the famous Bigfoot photo ... only if Bigfoot was carrying a grande mocha latte.

FWIW, thanks for the laugh.

Mississippi??? . . . Geez . . . If Tiger wanted to like wean himself off sex for a week . . . He could have gone to LaQuinta - picked up a million bucks playing the Bob Hope and seen nothing but 75 year old babes sitting on their patios watching the Pro Am groups go past. . .

Wow ... Mike Vick. Thug this, yo.
Looks like he's taking his cues on how to dress for the tabloids from Michael Jackson's kids.

Are they making him wear shorts so that everyone in the facility can see his skinny calves and shame him?

I get booze or coke recovery - no more booze, no more coke, whatever. How does a sex addict resume normal relations with his wife? Do you end up getting more action on the homefront because she doesn't want you to relapse, or do you get less because she doesn't want to feed your addiction?

He will have to remove himself from behavior that triggers his sexual acting out. This probably means that he'll have to quit drinking because the VIP lounges of the world are staffed with too many women who were/are a little too willing to be companionable. I'm guessing that he'll probably have to "assign" a close friend to shadow him and make sure that he's avoiding trouble. And he most assuredly will have to continue in an after-care program that involves personal and marital therapy. Patrick Carnes is one of the preeminent professionals in this field, so he's in a good place and he certainly should be a motivated guy. I speculate that he will come out of this process a reinvigorated guy with a more pronounced spiritual bent. I'm not saying that he'll go all Dr. Phil (pardon the pun) and spout rehabisms in an effort to proselytize others on the issue of compulsive behavior, but I do believe that he will have to get "addicted" to recovery in order to put his marriage and career back together again. He isn't Humpty Dumpty; he can, should and, I believe, will come out of this a much better man. And maybe an even better, more focused golfer

I'm amazed that he's actually in a treatment facility. Suggests to me that their marriage may have a chance.

With his stature and wealth, why bother going through all the headaches if she's going to leave him? If he's going back to being a bachelor, why cure this affliction?

Before all of this sorry mess became known, he was the highest paid athlete in the world, representing some of the most recognizable companies and products. A very carefully crafted image and pr campaign that created a lot of income off of his golf ability and projected values.

When the truth was known, most of the corporate relationships ended very quickly.

His wife, like most woman, will not forget what he has done to their marriage. It will not be the same, regardless of being in a program to help him deal with his demons. That said, his marriage as she knew it is over. Most women would make it official and get on with their lives.

The other very likely reason, if he is going through this program, could be to help rehab his image for future endorsements. It will do more good financially if he does go through a clinic, than if he hunkers down and tries to ride it out. There are not going to be many companies that will work with him to help him and IMG get back to the level of income he had before the train wreck if he does nothing.

So think twice about buying any product or supporting any company that TW's names is attached to, you just might be getting scammed again.
not going to happen:

Yeah, I am going to throw away my SQ driver and my nike wedges. I'm gonna trash my sunday red swoosh shirt. The TW hat and the TW vest are history. He let me down. He lied. He was unfaithful. He is a disappointing role model. He forced parents to talk about infidelity and porn stars. He scammed me. What a crock!

You may well be right about his wife. It would take a very forgiving person to take this guy back in. On the other hand, he is Tiger Woods. He isn't going to become just another ordinary Joe when he comes back. If he is really psychologically better and is able to be a good dad and an attentive and faithful spouse, it just might work. I'd say there's less than a 20% chance of this.

But what do I know, I'm the speculator.

Nobody mentioned it yet, but that plastic surgeon in Arizona did a wonderful job, didn't he? He made Tiger look like Allen Iverson.

Of all the addictions to deal with would sex addiction be the one that's the most....how do I put this.....marketable ?

The only interesting questions are:

1) After the divorce, will he ever have ANY interest in marriage?
2) Will he be psychologically stronger or weaker? (More, or less, confident than before?)
3) Will other players be less intimidated than before?

I predict No, Less confident, and Less intimidated. Alas (because I never was a Tiger fan) I think he'll regain the simple SKILLS which were so far superior to others' that he'll be able to win more than anyone, even if he isn't as dominant as he has been. 2010 won't be the year he'd hoped, but he could still win a major and 3-4 tournaments, perhaps the Fed Ex (who cares). It'll really bother him that he's "lost" his kids, but it'll bring him oddly closer to his father, the only person he's ever really loved.

I think that after things cool down (1 year after the divorce?) he'll go the Jeter route, with a succession of photo-ready girlfriends.

It was recently guessed that the first photo would bring $200,000 to $300,000.
