Caroline Spotted With Ring A On Her Finger...

Sarah Bull reports what appears to be a false alarm in the Willziroy Engagement Date Pool, but for reasons you might not expect. Caroline Wozniacki, accompanied by Rory McIlroy to Brisbane as she begins her Australian Open preparations, was sporting the ring on her left hand.

Bingo, if you had Christmas in the pool, right?

Sorry...

However, it's also tradition for Danish women to wear their engagement and wedding rings on the right hands, indicating that perhaps Caroline is not set to wed her golfer beau, but suggesting the jewel may have just been a recent Christmas present.

Guess he liked it and did put a ring on it! Good for them. Now, can we just concentrate, on Greg Norman's use, of the, comma?

I didn't expect such a stingy thing here. Please don't downgrade the level...

As always, I take opportunities like this to remind you that (A) this website is free (B) you are armed with a scroll option of some kind of your devices which allows you to pass up the free content.

I think This is just a bit of fun. Perhaps a follow up to the press conference episode where she asked him what gift she would get if he won the tournament. Looks like it paid off and good for them.
But to be honest I don't care about Rory's dating life any more than I care about what IHOP Tiger is frequenting.
Good follow up Geoff. :)

Well, yes, Geoff we know the content is free. You are, of course a self-styled truth-teller and scourge of the many pompous and venal souls who ruin our beloved game each and every day. You cut them no slack whatsoever; hold them to impossibly high standards; and impute to them the basest possible motives for their actions or inactions.

Yet when someone here gently ribs you for playing TMZ, you snarl.

I am beginning to understand Peter Dawson.

I like the mix of content here. It's all part of the full story. Keep on doing what you are doing, Geoff. The scroll on by option is there for us all. Some of us enjoy a light and bright once in a while.

Anyone who doesn't get it, will never get it, Geoff. they sit and watch a show on the tube for 30 minutes waiting for the game to start. They remember books-- from school.

Keep being a ful service golf stop, not like you need my permission, but I don't know if I'd cross the one from the United Kingdom....you know who...he won't play because he would have to ride in a cart, and he doesn't believe carts are golf...... This ring thing must have him spinning in his Victorian chair, sitting upright. comfort be damned.

Mixing high and low is what makes it personal. You wouldn't expect anything else from a site named after its owner, would you? Besides, a golfer's personal life does have quite an impact on his on-course performance, as we all know by now, and Rory is the numero uno.

Looks like the rock on her finger is almost "Kobe Bryant Special" sized....almost. The Nike bucks must start flowing this coming Tuesday.... which reminds me:

Happy New Year Folks!!!!

Could we just mind our own business?? If the kids do or don't is none of the presses business.

What is our business, then? These people put themselves out there and make millions not only on their talent -- when did Miss Wozniacki last do something fabulous in tennnis? Out in one to a qualifier in Brisbane -- but on their putting themselves about. They sell their celebrity, and let their talent take whatever course it may while they work out their hormonal challenges, which may or may not mean sleeping in and getting time zones wrong or being too wrung out by flying about to each other's trophy events.

My interest in McIlroy is how he plays. My interest in the tennis player is non-existent. And if their relationship affects his game, he's off my radar too. Meantime, updates are both useful and amusing. And fair game, to coin a phrase. It's not exactly a discreet relationship. She has all but said she expects the proposal. He's moving her in to the Floridian palace. Stay tuned. If not on geoffshackelford.com, where are we to get this news? You want to get it elsewhere?
