I write in the Golf World Masters preview that Billy Payne will decide the fate of anchoring this week in Augusta when he declares his allegiance (most likely) to the governing bodies.
It could come as soon as Monday when he convenes a grow the game announcement of some kind alongside the USGA's Glen Nager and the PGA of America's Ted Bishop.
That'll make it three majors to one and put an end to anchoring by 2016.
